Sabi. I’m a member of the community think tank and a member of Chocolate Lillies, U3A and Eltham Little Theatre and I think OM:NI is a great movement!

Michelle. I love the community spirit and feel of Diamond Creek.

Marion. Forty three years. Love the community, close to amenities and bush.

Leigh. Involved in Rotary with my Father-in-law. Lot’s of fun.

Craig. Men spend a lot of their lives raising families, home maintenance and don’t connect.

Danielle. What was the question?

Lynda. Best of both worlds, country and city. I can’t see us leaving.

Rod. I’ve been retired now for three and a half years. Fifty per cent of my time I spend volunteering with the Brigade

Tony. St Andrews 20 years, retired 2 years. I know OM:NI. There are 33 members at the Mens Shed. It’s a great meeting place.

Rachael. We have a duty to support you.

Warwick. It’s about reaching out to people.

Greg. Heard about OM:NI. Always prepared to have OM:NI come along to tell us more about what you do.

Ross. Ten years Open House Macleod, I get back as much as I put in. Very important if you have the time.

Alex. Loved the spinning OM:NI banner. Need to come back next year.

Raymond. We’re here to educate people about reptiles -especially children.

Jo. Because of the community aspect. Getting to know customers.

: Alicia – I’ve been involved for 24 years. We all went to different schools yet, the friendships have kept me in touch and involved. I moved house 6 years ago and here I am, still enjoying Diamond Creek.

: Ashleigh – She gets to do things like this. My mother gets cross when my brother is naughty.

: Bill – – need to remember where the toilets are – Bodily functions can’t always be trusted – I can’t remember!

: Declan ..starvation probably. About a couple of million years ago.

: Ben – A lot of fantastic jobs. Some haven’t always started out well but, I’ve tried to make them great. Alternative education with youngsters who didn’t always feel that they fitted in.

: Declan and Ali. Ali – “How many?” – “I’m not telling!”

: Barry – I’m doing this because I love it. I’ve lived around here for about 33 years and have been in the club for 27 of them. I met an old friend at Rob Roy hill climb where I was selling tickets for the club.

: Ann – My father was a darling man. He always did everything for the family.

: Melanie – If connections are built in the community as a result of this event, and we breathe in the existing spirit of the ‘Creek’ , then i’ts been a geat success.

: Ben – Community service such as today. I’m encouraged to to my best.

: Rob – It is important in life to be connected. Another reason why I enjoy helping with “Carols In The Park”. That helps me keep in touch with other community groups. I enjoy sharing my hobby with the various groups in our area.

: Norm & Ruth Ruth – I balanced the books and we had an excellent talk fom the ‘Dunny Man’.

: Liz – I’ve lived in this district for 23 years, it’s a wonderful place to live. I always feel safe and can walk everywhere – to the shops, to the school, the station where I can travel easily to the city – my children think that Diamond Creek pool is their very own!
